ইন্দ্রজিৎ আইচ (কলকাতা): ডায়াবেটিস রোগ এখন বহু মানুষের শরীরে নিঃশব্দে সঞ্চারিত হচ্ছে। সেখানে থেকে শরীরের অন্যান্য অর্গান সংক্রমিত হচ্ছে। এই ডায়াবিটিস কে নির্মূল করতে এবং এই রোগ সর্ম্পকে জন সচেতনতা বাড়াতে  ভারতের অন্যতম শীর্ষ স্বাস্থ্যসেবা প্রতিষ্ঠান মণিপাল হাসপাতাল গ্রুপ-এর দুটি ইউনিট — ঢাকুরিয়া ও ইএম বাইপাস — বিশ্ব ডায়াবেটিস দিবস উপলক্ষে দুটি বিশেষ উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করেছে। গত 12 ই নভেম্বর বুধবার সন্ধ্যায় ঢাকুরিয়া ইউনিটে চালু হয়েছে নতুন মণিপাল ইনস্টিটিউট অফ ডায়াবেটিস, আর ইএম বাইপাস ইউনিটে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে ডায়াবেটিস সম্পর্কে সচেতনতা বাড়ানোর কর্মসূচি। এই দুই অনুষ্ঠানে মুখ্য অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিখ্যাত অলিম্পিয়ান শ্যুটার ও অর্জুন পুরস্কারপ্রাপ্ত জয়দীপ কর্মকার। দুই হাসপাতালের এই উদ্যোগের মূল উদ্দেশ্য ছিল সাধারণ মানুষকে ডায়াবেটিস সম্পর্কে সচেতন করা — যেন সবাই প্রাথমিক পর্যায়ে রোগ নির্ণয়, সঠিক খাদ্যাভ্যাস ও নিয়মিত জীবনযাপনের গুরুত্ব বুঝতে পারেন। অনুষ্ঠানগুলিতে চিকিৎসকরা ডায়াবেটিস প্রতিরোধ ও নিয়ন্ত্রণের নানা দিক নিয়ে আলোচনা করেন এবং স্বাস্থ্যকর জীবনযাপনের বার্তা দেন। ম...
