INDRAJIT AICH (KOLKATA):- SPK Jain Futuristic Academy organised a poignant and culturally immersive evening titled “Ma and Me” – A Tribute to Tagore: A Grand Celebration of Motherhood and Artistry, marking Rabindra Jayanti with reverence, creativity, and emotional depth. The programme brought together literature, music, dance, and spoken word to honour the eternal relevance of Rabindranath Tagore’s philosophy while celebrating the universal bond between a mother and child.The event paid homage to the timeless literary and philosophical legacy of Rabindranath Tagore, whose works continue to shape cultural consciousness across generations. Observed on the occasion of Rabindra Jayanti, the celebration reflected Tagore’s humanistic ideals, his portrayal of motherhood, and his deep engagement with emotions, relationships, and the soul of Bengal. Through thoughtfully curated performances, the evening echoed Tagore’s vision of harmony between art, life, and education.The programme was graced by three distinguished personalities from the fields of classical dance, poetry, and literary expression — Guru Sanchita Bhattacharya, a globally acclaimed Odissi luminary and choreographer; Tanmay Chakraborty, a notable poet, columnist, translator, and lyricist; and Anuradha Mazumder, renowned poet, author, and elocution artiste. The event was also honoured by the presence of esteemed members of the Shree Shwetambar Sthanakvasi Jain Sabha, including Tripti Singh, Shashi Kankaria, Smt. Kusum Patwa, and Trishala Bhansaly. Their presence elevated the evening, lending intellectual richness and artistic gravitas to the celebration while inspiring students and attendees alike through their engagement with Tagore’s works and values.Designed as a meaningful cultural platform, the event fostered a deep connection between students, parents, and educators, encouraging young learners to explore heritage beyond textbooks.
