Kolkata Women's Business Alliance Celebrates Motherhood, Talent & Women Empowerment Through the Maiden Edition of "Glamour & Spices"

INDRAJIT AICH (KOLKATA):-Formerly known as Kolkata Ladies League (KLL), the newly rechristened Kolkata Women's Business Alliance (KWBA) hosted a heartwarming Mother's Day celebration with the maiden edition of "Glamour & Spices", featuring the specially curated 'Mayer Haater Ranna' segment and a one-of-a-kind fashion show, in Kolkata, bringing together women entrepreneurs, homemakers, professionals and creators under one roof to celebrate motherhood, talent and togetherness.
The event marked a significant new chapter for the organisation, which began its journey recently with the vision of women's empowerment, entrepreneurship and unity. While the name has evolved into Kolkata Women's Business Alliance, its core vision remains unchanged "Together We Will Elevate, Together We Will Grow." The occasion was graced by distinguished dignitaries including Soma Chakraborty, Co-Founder & Managing Director of Goodace Hospital, President of Gouri's Foundation and Founder Member of KWBA; Piyali Goswami, Founder Member and Cultural Secretary of KWBA; Swati Das Chakraborty, Owner of Misthi Bahar and Founder Member of KWBA; Moumita Mukherjee, Owner of Sristi Boutique and Founder Member of KWBA; Sunanda Banerjee, Director of Mission Hospital Durgapur and Founder Member of KWBA; along with renowned fashion designer Abhishek Reyy.
One of the key highlights of the evening was a vibrant cooking competition where mothers, homemakers and aspiring entrepreneurs showcased their culinary skills, creativity and stories served through love. The celebration also featured a vibrant multi-generational fashion showcase conducted by Kolkata Women's Business Alliance with a special fusion of Indo-western collection, featuring participants ranging from 2 years to 60 years, reflecting confidence, inclusivity and the spirit of womanhood.
Fashion presentations by Sristi Boutique, MR Creation, Appie Blossom and KolkataNama added glamour and elegance to the evening, while the showcase was highly appreciated by Chief Guest Abhishek Reyy.
The event was led by the Founder Members of KWBA - Soma Chakraborty, Piyali Goswami, Swati Das Chakraborty, Moumita Mukherjee and Sunanda Banerjee - all of whom reiterated the importance of networking, collaboration and creating meaningful platforms for women to grow and support one another.
Speaking on the occasion, Soma Chakraborty, Co-Founder & Managing Director of Goodace Hospital, President of Gouri's Foundation and Founder Member of KWBA, said that the organisation aims to become a strong community-driven platform where women can connect, empower themselves, showcase their talents and transform their dreams into success and prosperity. This is such the maiden edition of this celebration, more are yet to come. Next year we hope to make it bigger and better.
